The wooly PALLAS’ CAT (Otocolobus manul) is well-insulated for the high-elevation habitats of central Asia, particularly Mongolia. In the evening, this 3 – 5 kg (6.6 - 11 lb) wildcat emerges from his burrow and uses his large, low-set ears to spy on prey such as pikas, small mammals, rodents and birds.
