The solitary FISHING CAT (Prionailurusviverrina ) lives in the wetland habitats of Southeast Asia from Sri Lanka and parts of India down into Sumatra and Java. An adept swimmer, this 7 - 16 kg (15 - 35 lb) wildcat preys mainly on fish, inaddition to amphibians, waterfowl and small mammals.
