My Mom taught me the most valuable lesson about animals when I was young: respect them and learn from them. At the time, I was dealing with a spider. This early lesson greatly influenced my life and my art.

After building a career painting companion animals, I began raising awareness about endangered species by writing and illustrating my weekly column, Focus on Nature: Insight into the Lives of Animals, followed by painting 3 educational art exhibitions featured in natural history museums in the US and abroad.

My passion and artistic mission are to help people transcend speciesism by showcasing the beauty and intrinsic value of animals that are overlooked and unappreciated.
